Congratulations to CM FOOLS Trustee Sean Roy

Join me in congratulating the Central Mass FOOLS Training Trustee Sean Roy for his appointment this evening to the Fitchburg Fire Department. Sean as well as his cousin Andy who is also getting appointed tonight, is continuing a long family tradition of Roy's in the FFD. Sean is following his grandfather Vern, Uncle Kevin who is the current Chief of the Department, his father Jim who is one of the senior Firefighters and his brother PJ onto the FFD.

Sean was one of the founding members of the Central Mass chapter of the FOOLS and has been doing a tremendous job as our Training/Meetings Trustee. He previously worked fulltime for the Town of Shirley as a Firefighter until he was laid off two years ago and has been working for the Town of Lunenburg as a Call firefighter since his layoff.

Sean, Andy and six other Firefighters will be appointed at Fitchburg City Hall tonight at 6:30 followed by a few pints at the Marconi Social Club on Birch St. Passway for any of you that may be interested.
