The Town of Durham Fire Department is now accepting applications for the position of full-time Fire Fighter/EMT, to create a list of qualified candidates for potential future position(s). The position responsibilities include but are not limited to: response to fire and medical emergencies, operating department apparatus, perform fire and life safety inspections, inspection and maintenance of department equipment and the maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, possession of a valid Drivers License, Nationally Registered EMT, NH Fire Fighter Certification and be able to attain certification required for full-time Fire Fighters by the New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training Commission.  The candidate must have the ability to pass a background investigation and a Medical Exam.  Lateral transfer candidates (eligible pursuant to Administrative Rules FIRE 703.1) are welcome to apply.
